Common reasons for NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) care include premature birth, birth asphyxia, pulmonary hypoplasia, low birth weight, sepsis, and congenital malformations. MAVJAT Hospital has a "state-of-the-art" level II NICU set-up, with an attached perinatal centre that includes high-risk obstetrics, under one roof.

Antenatal counselling and intervention:
For high-risk pregnancies and expected premature babies, prior in-detail counselling by a neonatal intensivist for planning medical and surgical care for neonates is provided at MAVJAT Hospital.

- In-house arterial blood gas (ABG), lab, and radiological facilities
